Jason Mordaunt has had the usual diverse career,
including stints as a rep, a database curator (the only word since
the equipment was so old), rehearsal studio manager, freelance
sub-editor, musician, and all-purpose suit.
He has written most of his life, but in the late 'nineties he was encouraged by a lecturer at a media studies course to try something serious. This eventually became Welcome To Coolsville, his literary realisation of the ultimate B-movie, published by Jonathan Cape in 2003.
Jason lives with his wife in Dublin and for the past few years has combined his writing with the raising of their young son. He generally has a number of projects on the go at once, but has recently completed another novel, Countenance Fell, and has started work on a book for young teenagers which he hopes will prove scandalous. |
